How to calculate your Life Path
Add together the digits of your full birth date (day, month, year) and keep reducing until you have a single digit — or land on the master numbers 11 or 22, which are kept as they are. Example: 12 March 1989 → 1+2+3+1+9+8+9 = 33 → 3+3 = 6 (a Life Path 6).
Short read on each number
- 1 — initiating, independent, learns through stepping forward first.
- 2 — relational, sensitive, learns through pairing and partnership.
- 3 — expressive, creative, learns through voice and play.
- 4 — building, methodical, learns through structure and steady work.
- 5 — restless, freedom-seeking, learns through change and experience.
- 6 — caring, responsible, learns through home, family, and service.
- 7 — reflective, seeker, learns through solitude and inner study.
- 8 — authoritative, builder, learns through money, power and stewardship.
- 9 — completing, compassionate, learns through letting go and giving back.
- 11 — intuitive, visionary, the sensitive version of 2.
- 22 — master builder, the structured version of 4 at scale.
How to actually use it
A Life Path is not a horoscope. Use it the way you'd use a personality framework: notice where the description fits, notice where it doesn't, and pay attention to the questions it asks you. Active Energy uses your Life Path as one of three foundation numbers that shape your daily reading.
