Methodology
Active Energy follows a single, consistent numerology method so the same date always produces the same number for you across Today, the Calendar, the Daily Coach, and your notifications.
Every number is reduced by adding its digits until a single digit remains — except for the master numbers 11 and 22, which are preserved.
Your daily energy is always your Personal Day. Curated or collective dates may add a small badge ("Featured energy" or "Collective energy"), but they never replace your Personal Day.
Sum all digits of your date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD), then reduce. Preserves 11 / 22.
Example: 1985-07-12 → 1+9+8+5+0+7+1+2 = 33 → 3+3 = 6
Sum of your birth month + birth day + the current calendar year, then reduce.
Example for 1985-07-12 in 2026: 7 + (1+2) + (2+0+2+6) = 20 → 2
Personal Year + the current calendar month, then reduce.
Personal Year + the current month + the current day, then reduce. This is the number you see on Today and on every Calendar card.
Sum the Pythagorean letter values of your full birth-certificate name (A=1, B=2 … I=9, J=1 …) and reduce. Describes what you are here to express.
The same letter values, but only for the vowels of your full birth name. Describes inner motivation.
The day of the month you were born, reduced if > 9 (11 and 22 preserved). A specific gift you bring.
Life Path + Expression, reduced. The integrated number that comes online with age.
When a reduction lands on 11 or 22, we stop there instead of reducing further to 2 or 4. These numbers carry a heightened, more demanding charge and are treated consistently everywhere in the app.
The Universal Day is the calendar date alone, reduced. It is a collective signal — the same for everyone on Earth that day.
Your Personal Day is calculated from your DOB and the date. It is what Active Energy shows you. Where useful, we may surface the Universal Day as small secondary context labelled Collective energy — never as a replacement.
Numerology is a reflective and spiritual system, not a scientific prediction tool. Active Energy aims to be internally consistent with its chosen numerology method so the same user and date always produce the same number across the app.
